Sidenor participated in the 11th Congrés Català del Decolletatge i la Mecanització (DecoMeeting 2017), which took place on Friday, October 20th, at the Montanyà Hotel & Lodge de Seva (Barcelona).
DecoMeeting is organised by Adecat (Association of Catalan of enterprises dealing with turned parts) and is one of the most renowned events in the sector of turned parts and machining, as it provides companies with the tools available for improving their competitiveness.
The 11th edition of the meeting included conferences aiming at generating a debate on the development of the sector and how to adapt to change.
Moreover, the latest developments in the sector of turned parts manufacture were presented.

- Advanced manufacturing processes
- Arrival of 3D printing and additive manufacturing
- Generation of talent for the plant of the future
- Technological innovation for the sector
As part of the thematic area on technological innovation for the sector, our presentation on innobars by Sidenor was very well received by the public. Part of the presentation dealt with the MECAMAX ® MB technology and attracted the interest of the attendees, given the improvement potential of our steels in terms of machinability and, thus, reduction in machining costs.
